I like these styles of puzzle games in general, so I would recommend it to someone who's new to this style. I was hoping to jump into some more demanding puzzles, but they make you tediuously go through a dozens of small puzzles before you are allowed to play the large ones. And I didn't have the patience for that.Edit: they improved controller support.. On the one hand, this game has consumed hours of my life.On the other hand, this game has _easily_ consumed several hours of my life, is still getting little updates (and not so little ones), and, though Pictopix has a fairly simple look to it, it is a really solid implementation of picross/whatever the name is for that sort of puzzle. I do find that I get occassional glitches with the 'Challenge' mode, and the randomly generated puzzles do seem a bit simpler than the not-random puzzles of the same size, but half-hourly refresh means that isn't too bad, and even the base 'classic' puzzles can easily occupy you for hours. All in all, I absolutely recommend this.. Really clean PC version of Picross, definitely worth it.. Great picross game with an even better soundtrack.. Ooh i hadn't written a review for this wonderful game.Not too sure what to say except buy it! such a bargain buy and hundreds of hours of playability, plus with Workshop there are oodles of fan made puzzles.3 levels of assist(or lack of on the highest) caters the game for casual to hard mode players.Well worth a purchase if you like puzzle games even slightly!. As you can see on the screenshot below, new sort options have been added to make it possible to sort the puzzles as you wish. If your friends play Pictopix you can now see their favorite puzzles or those which they have created.In addition, if you follow other players on Steam you can now see their creations by clicking on “From followed authors”. In selecting “Friends’ Favorites” or “Friends’ Creations” you will also be able to sort the puzzles according to the date, the theme or the rating (for the moment this is not possible in other sort categories on the Steam API). Note that as you play you can pass on to the next piece using the "N" key on your keyboard or the right stick of your Xbox controller.The other new feature is the localization of the game. Pictopix can now easily be translated into different languages. In addition to the English version Pictopix is now available in French, Spanish and Chinese. I would like to thank Joseahfer and Fall Ark for their translations and their help. At startup, Pictopix will detect the language of your OS. If the game has been translated into this language, it will be selected – otherwise it will default into English. It is also possible to change the language in Options – Misc tab.I take the occasion of this announcement to review things. Workshop updated, new language and more!: Hi everybody,In this new update (version 1.1.11), the Workshop has been improved with the arrival of two new sort options: Sorting puzzles placed in your favorites and sorting puzzles by author.In fact it is now possible to add puzzles to your favorites. It’s very easy. When a puzzle is finished you can click on the star to add it to your favorites. This is also possible from the Workshop. The option appears when clicking on a puzzle which is already solved. On the image you will have noticed the little button "+" which appears next to the author's name.
